Okay, so I apologize for it being so long since my last (and first) post in this blog. I have actually been VERY busy. Wow, so much has been going on, I don’t even know where to start.
I have been living in a shelter for almost 4 months, but sometime this week or next I will be getting the keys to my very own apartment. This is something I’ve never done before and it’s a strange and scary feeling, although I am very excited to be making this move out into the big scary world of being an adult (even if it is at the age of 30 and I’ve already been married twice, LMAO!)
It’s only a studio apartment, and I don’t even know how big it is, or what the layout is. But I know I will have my own space where I can do my own things, have my own friends/family over, and have my dog. I am happy about that, even if the whole “living alone and paying my own bills” thing is scaring the crap out of me.
However, I have been doing very well with both of my home businesses.
I am working with a Micro Business Development counselor at community action to help build a great Business Plan for my writing business so that the Dept. of Vocational Rehabilitation can help fund some education as well as some other things I need like a new office chair. All of these services that I am utilizing are free to me and they are really helping me to focus my business and my skills so I can be the best freelance writer I can be.
I am also now an independent consultant for Perfectly Posh! I absolutely love the products and I am having so much fun learning more, sharing them, recruiting more people, and selling them. Oh, and throwing parties? So much fun, even if you just throw one on Facebook!
Between these two “jobs” I still qualify for my apartment and I am looking forward to moving in soon. I will post pictures when I get the keys and I will post pictures once I move in!
Something I’m Proud Of: Making Waves!
Three Things I’m Grateful For:
- The people in my life who motivate me
- The opportunity for this apartment
- The ability I have to work TWO jobs from home
