Hello all of you wonderful readers! You are all here reading my blog, presumably, because you heard about the wonderful Krysha Thayer… You haven’t heard about me? I’m shocked!
Okay, so I’m not really shocked actually. *laugh*
I have been writing since I was a young girl. I would tell my Gramma what to write and she would write the words down for me. In that way, my stories became real. Then later, she would read my stories out loud to me for bedtime. I’ve written ever since. I write short fiction, some medium fiction, (I’d love to be able to finish a longer piece of fiction), I write poetry, and I also write non-fiction like memoir but also pieces for the web like product descriptions and press releases. I just love to write.
I also love to read, and you will find me reading just about anything. My favorites include a bit of a romantic touch though. I have to have a bit of romance in there just because I love to feel the feels, you know?
However, I feel the feels every day now… But that’s a story for another day.
I love crafting. In fact, I even work for a fabric and craft store in my town. I love to crochet. I’ve been crocheting since I was 11 (hand-taught out of a pamphlet) and I’m now 30. I know the very basics of knitting and can make cables, but they don’t look even because my tension isn’t right yet. I like to scrapbook but I don’t have a lot of things for it so I make do with what I have and it usually means that things look very simple. I would love to learn how to sew on a sewing machine but I don’t have one and the cheapest one at my store is $100. I don’t want to spend that much money on something that I don’t know I’m going to like or not.
I love to visit new and exciting places in my mind. Sometimes I see them in a show and I imagine myself there. Sometimes I just imagine a place I’ve never been that might not exist. I would love to travel the world someday and just see everything there is to see, and then write about all of it as inspiration. It would be excellent as a muse.
I am a romantic. I love to treat my one true love to anything I can think of that is new and romantic, and maybe something that someone hasn’t thought of before. Maybe he hasn’t thought of before? But sometimes I just love those darn Harlequin books, and my favorite author is Nora Roberts. Her books just have that plot that is not based on the erotic or romantic parts, but that romance just makes it so much deeper. The connection between the characters seems so much more real to the reader. I love it.
In fact, I wish my eyes weren’t bothering me right now or I’d pick up any of the 4 Nora Roberts books on my bookshelf and start reading right now!
So, something I want all of my readers to look forward to at the end of each of my blogs is a section called Proud/Grateful. I will say something I’m proud of and then list three things I am grateful for. I will do this every time I write as it is a mindfulness exercise and I think it helps people to focus their mind on positives instead of negatives. Here we go!
Something I am proud of: I did 7 things today (appointments/errands) without missing one and I got good news all day so I am glad I stuck with it.
Three things I am grateful for:
- My friend David
- My friend Brooke
- My friend Elizabeth
